I am interested in Computer Architecture, Instruction Sets, Dataflow Computing, Near Data Computing, VLSI design, Embedded Systems Design. My dissertation research is on dataflow implementation of near data computing.

I received a BS in Electrical Engineering in 1975 and a MS in Electrical Engineering in 1976.  I spent 4 years in the Air Force in an engineering capacity in development of F-16 Avionics.  12 years in developing small, lightweight guidance systems for anti-tank and missile intercepter missiles, including FPGA and ASIC projects in VHDL and Verilog.  7 years in the development of synthesizable Arm cores and x86 math instruction microcode.  6 years in development of high speed networking interface ASICs using VHDL.  3 years as an independent consultant teaching VHDL based logic synthesis.
